Carmen Wood interviewed Aviva at length for her high school journalism project some years ago. She then saw Aviva's show "This is a War Zone, Baby -- Improvise" and it made a big impact on her life. She has this to say:
"Do get this book finished - you would have such a wide audience, there are things you have said to me that just blew my young mind. A remarkable life, and so much more accessible than what I learned through years of an expensive, formal education. Can't wait to get hold of it!"

2010 was a very eventful year for Aviva. Her father, Morris Marsh, passed away in March, 2010. Sergeant Marsh was a British liberator of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp.
Aviva wrote an article for the Victorian Association for Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women, October.
Shortly after her father's death, Aviva began work on the next stage of her one-woman show, with Merrigong Theatre Company's Anne-Louise Rentell as director/dramaturg. http://www.merrigong.com.au/
In October, Aviva and Anne-Louse presented a showing of the latest developments to an invited audience at the Illawarra Performing Arts' Centre. Aviva is using feedback from this event to further work on the show. You can see the next stage in January at the Illawarra Folk Festival.

What the people say..
Shebada! show November 2008
"Your performance demonstrated a degree of freedom of expression that is
so rare. I feel it can help to release in individuals in your audience
that very beneficial stimulant that will enable them to bring forth
their own inner self thus assisting that essential process of locating,
knowing and becoming that sp ritual essence that is inherently ours.
Essentially, it's the ability to show the inner true self that leads to
our spiritual growth."
Florence Conway - audience member at the Shebada! show November

Illawarra Folk Festival 2009
Aviva's workshops at the Illawarra Folk Festival at Bulli in January 09 went really well. The feedback was very encouraging.
Here's one of the feedback messages.
"Aviva’s vocal workshop at the Illawarra Folk Festival was totally captivating for all who attended. Aviva is as much an entertainer as she is an instructor, and she created a fabulous atmosphere for understanding and practising. The workshop ran for 45 minutes, but it only seemed like five. Time flies when you’re having fun!

"Aviva’s many talents are much more than the ‘sum of the parts’. As an accomplished writer she could have written this better than I but her humility would get in the way. She is loud and soft, forthright yet seeking.
Perhaps the common denominator is communication. Aviva communicates with the real you, helps you communicate with others, with yourself, with your body. You find a voice you never believed you had, you lift your speaking and communicate your message, you stretch and you breathe, breathe out the tension, |
breathe in new vigour and peacefulness. There is a pathway, a technique for you: a way through, a way forward. You may find it yourself with Aviva looking on, just being there. For the ladies, giving birth will be easier, menstruation can be marvelous, menopause can be welcome and natural.
Aviva Sheb'a has gifts and talents.
Let her show you how gifted and talented you are."
