Festiphilia Syndrome
Info provided by Festiphiliacs Anonymous
There is no cure. Please familiarise yourself with the symptoms:
Unbridled enthusiasm for any form of art, especially music and dance
Feelings of happiness
Exuberant pleasure at meeting strangers
Making weird faces, movements and sounds, often spontaneously
Love of play and fun
Other symptoms manifest in individuals
People with Festiphilia Syndrome are known as Festiphiliacs. Festiphiliacs cannot resist attending festivals, and usually volunteer, perform or hold stalls
at festivals anywhere in the world.
The support group, Festiphiliacs Anonymous is the most effective therapy known. Members of Festiphiliacs Anonymous report feeling loved, supported and happy.
Festiphilia was first diagnosed in Chris Wilson and Aviva Sheb'a, at the 2010 Illawarra Folk Festival. Thousands have since been diagnosed.
Please contaminate others, as people who avoid festivals often pine away from Festiphobia Syndrome (also known as Lack-of-fun).
Festiphiliacs Anonymous had its debut FRIDAY January 13th 2012 at the
Illawarra Folk Festival, in the Republic of Bulli.
Spontaneous outbursts of Festiphilia were experienced
as new Festiphiliacs were diagnosed.
